ELO Barcode

ELO Barcode allows you to automate the time-consuming processing of paper documents. Scanned documents are automatically keyworded, assigned to a process and archived.

In particular, the module can considerably reduce the workload involved in dealing with delivery notes, orders, surveys, and much more. Barcodes are either applied to the document when printing it out in the respective DP system or stuck on to the document after it has been printed out. ELO Barcode recognises the barcodes when the documents are scanned in and systematically evaluates this information. The keywording information is then automatically allocated and the documents are filed in the archive without manual processing. A press of the button is all that is needed to search for the archived documents. ELO is then automatically handling work processes which previously would have taken up a lot of time if they had been carried out manually.

Barcode

ELO Barcode reliably and automatically identifies the different barcode types on the documents that have been scanned in (EAN 8, EAN 13, Code 39, 2 of 5 interleaved, Code 25 interleaved, UPCA, UPCE, etc.). For the purposes of searching for the documents, ELO Barcode converts the recognised barcodes into keywording information.

The possibility to link the barcode contents together in order to generate individual keywording information is another advantage. In this way, the barcode on a document can point to information already available in the archive regarding a customer, order, etc. and automatically lead activity-related processes to the information. Typical scenarios for using ELO Barcode can be found, amongst others, in the area of incoming invoices together with ELO DocXtractor and ELO OCR and also in the area of contract management.
